Silk 106.9 in Macclesfield has undergone a re-brand to compliment its sister station, Dee 106.3 in Chester, including a new logo, jingle package and presenter line-up.
But instead of putting the old marketing material in the bin, weekend presenters Dave Chipman and James Lister decided it should be sold on eBay, including two 2m square metallic logos previously on display at Macclesfield Town FC's ground.
Programme Controller Andy Bailey told RadioToday.co.uk: "You never quite know what to expect from Dave and James on a Saturday afternoon, so I suppose it was no surprise to hear the whole thing unfold on-air. I guess the winning bidder will either be a huge fan of the station, a radio 'enthusiast', or someone with a penchant for collecting absolute one-offs"
