LBC hires Tom Parker Bowles

Food columnist and television presenter Tom Parker Bowles is joining LBC 97.3 to host the weekly food and drink show.

His first show will be this Sunday at 4pm, and will include chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White as a special guest.

Tom is the author of three books about food – E is for Eating: An Alphabet about Greed, The Year of Eating Dangerously and his brand new book, Full English: A Journey through the British and their Food from Ebury Publishing. In addition, Tom is Contributing Editor for GQ and has a weekly column in the Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine.

Tom joins the station’s Sunday line-up which features The Daily Telegraph’s Andrew Pierce from 11am, Simon Calder’s Travel Clinic from 2pm and Business Matters with James Max from 5pm.

“I'm delighted to be joining LBC 97.3, a station I've adored since listening to Robbie Vincent as a young boy. I cannot wait to talk about all that's great in the world of food and drink and, of course, to get talking with the listeners and hear their tips, views and advice,” Tom said.

LBC 97.3’s Programme Director Jonathan Richards: “Tom Parker Bowles is passionate about food and I’m delighted he can now share that passion on LBC 97.3. Tom will bring a fresh new sound to our Food and Drink show and is another quality addition to our existing Sunday Supplement programmes which already includes the Daily Telegraph’s Andrew Pierce and The Independent’s Simon Calder.”
