Wogan returns to BBC Radio 2

Sir Terry Wogan was back on BBC Radio 2 for the first of his brand new show, Weekend Wogan.

The new programme, live from the Radio Theatre in Broadcasting House, was filmed by Wise Buddah for watching online later.

The show includes interviews, music and performances, plus a weekly recital of an infamous "Janet and John" story and feature familiar voices such as John "Boggy" Marsh.

Video recording of the show will be available on the Radio 2 website, with highlights on also on the BBC Red Button.

The rights to film the new show was hotly contested for, and Wise Buddah's Head of Digital and Business Development Russ Williams told RadioToday.co.uk: “This is fantastic for Wise Buddah. We’re delighted to win this and looking forward to delivering very high quality video content for the BBC.”

Weekend Wogan is produced by Alan Boyd and launched Sunday (14 February) at 11am. The show will be broadcast in three blocks of 12 programmes throughout the year.
