Nation Radio expands with DAB

South Wales' Nation Radio celebrated St David's Day by expanding its coverage area through digital radio.

The station can now be heard in more places around South Wales and The West, bringing more choice to the local DAB platform.

Nation Radio, on FM in Cardiff and 107.3 in Swansea, is now on DAB in Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot, Bridgend, Newport, Monmouth, Abergavenny, Aberdare, Ebbw Vale, Carmarthenshire and in Bristol and Bath.

Station programmer Ben Evans said; “Digital radio coverage extends the opportunity for our existing loyal listeners to hear us – and being available in other parts of Wales and the West means even more people can make the switch away from their current bland music station."

Other commercial stations recently joining DAB includes Radio Plymouth (on the Plymouth and Cornwall multiplex) and Fire 107.6 (on the Bournemouth and South Hampshire multiplex).
