Ofcom is to licence a total of 30 temporary radio broadcast licences for stations to broadcast during Ramadan and Eid later this year.
Whilst 18 stations were granted a licence earlier this year, 12 more were picked via a draw due to more than one applicant for those areas.
The SRSL radio stations broadcast to the Muslim community within a two mile radius of their chosen transmitter site, for the full period of Ramadan and Eid.
All applicants were invited to Ofcom to see the draw, which was also screened live online. See the results of the draw [link=http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radio/ifi/rbl/rsls/ramadan_2010_results/]here[/link].
