It's time for Chris to leave

Those are the words of BBC Radio 2 breakfast show presenter Chris Evans, talking to Richard Bacon on BBC Radio 5 live about Chris Moyles.

Evans also thinks there may be some truth in the rumour that Moyles will join commercial radio next year.

As a guest on 5 live promoting his new book, Evans said "It's time for him to leave because he's broken the record of the longest serving breakfast presenter, he's way out of the demographic of the listenership, and he needs to leave whilst he's still hot."

Earlier this week it was reported that Chris Moyles will leave BBC Radio 1 in the new year and join Capital FM when it goes quasi-national.
