The Nokia Digital Radio Headset, which works with Nokia’s latest range of Symbian 3 powered phones with USB On the Go, will be released on Friday.
Similar headsets are also available for other mobile phones, including the iPhone.
The channel is displayed on the phone screen with the headset used to change channels and volume. It comes complete with in-ear stereo headphones and a 3.5mm jack. It also has an integrated microphone for phone calls, with the dongle used to open and close calls, and can control music and video playback.
Mark Selby, Vice President, Industry Collaborations at Nokia comments: “The Nokia Digital Headset now makes DAB listening possible on your mobile. Pedestrians and drivers can use the free navigation on their N8 and listen to their favourite DAB station. The Nokia Digital Headset is a great addition to the already feature-packed N8 and C7 smartphones."
It is understood the headset will receive DAB+ broadcasts as well.
