BBC Radio 1 is set to host a month of live music in October with special nights to celebrate Mumford and Sons and Kings of Leon.
The station will also feature a student tour with Mark Ronson, 30 Seconds To Mars, Chase and Status and Klaxons.
Hosted by Zane Lowe, Radio 1 Presents… will feature Mumford and Sons and Friends on Monday 11 0ctober and Kings of Leon Night on Thursday 28 October.
And from 18th October Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe are heading out on a student tour – broadcasting their shows live from four universities across the UK.
Ben Cooper, Deputy Controller, Radio 1 and 1Xtra, says: "October is going to be a fantastic month for live music on Radio 1. The station's continued passion for reflecting the excitement and energy of a gig I believe, is key to connecting with young listeners across the UK."
