Rhodes joins Cambridgeshire

BBC Radio Cumbria mid-morning presenter Liz Rhodes is joining BBC Cambridgeshire to initially host afternoons.

Liz, who has been with the BBC since joining BBC Radio Leeds in 1999, will leave on Friday 5th November after a two-year stint.

"It's been a privilege to work at Radio Cumbria, and in this beautiful county, but a new opportunity at BBC Cambridgeshire, as well as the fact that my partner lives in the region, made this an offer I couldn't refuse.

"There's a great team at BBC Cumbria and I'll miss them all, as well as all the laughs I've had with our listeners!"

Managing Editor for Radio Cumbria, Nigel Dyson, says: "Liz will be much missed by listeners and colleagues alike. She's brightened the airwaves with her sunny manner and friendly voice. We'll miss her but wish her well with her new role".
