Wogan back – with Wise Buddah

Terry Wogan is returning to Radio 2 this week for a new series of his Sunday morning show, which will be produced for the first time by Wise Buddah.

The independent radio production company have developed a new format which sees Sir Terry back at Radio 2's Western House studios instead of in the BBC Radio Theatre.

Weekend Wogan returns for an 18-week run with Terry inviting a star, a superstar or a rising star to the studio each week to perform an intimate, stripped-down performance. Within this part of the show Sir Terry will showcase great musical performance, songwriting and artistic talent. He will also be chatting with some of the biggest names from music, theatre, film and TV in the show, which will be broadcast between 11am and 1pm each Sunday.

Sir Terry said: "It's great to be coming back with a new series of Weekend Wogan and I am pleased to be teaming up with Wise Buddah for the new show on BBC Radio 2."

Chris North, Joint Managing Director, Wise Buddah Creative, told RadioToday.co.uk: "This is a very exciting time for Wise Buddah Creative and it's a privilege to be working on this new weekly strand, building on the existing content Wise Buddah already produces for BBC Radio 2. It's a great honour to be working with Sir Terry on the perfect Sunday morning show. We have plans for not only some terrific studio shows but some special live event shows too."
