Brendan Kearney joins Cheshire FM

Former BRMB and Piccadilly Radio presenter Brendan Kearney has joined community station Cheshire FM as breakfast presenter.

Brendan was most recently working for Central Radio in Preston, which is about to re-brand to The Bee following its takeover by UKRD.

After starting out at BRMB in 1983, Brendan moved onto Manchester’s Piccadilly in 1994. He was then launch breakfast presenter at Real Radio in Yorkshire and has since worked at a variety of stations mainly in the North West, including Jazz FM, 2BR, Dee 106.3, The Revolution, Magic 999, Big AM and Dune FM.

Brendan started on the Cheshire FM breakfast show this morning (Monday). Programming Controller Dan Morris told RadioToday.co.uk: “Brendan joining us really is an exciting development. For a while now we’ve been on the lookout for the right sound at breakfast time and Brendan’s mass of experience and love for local broadcasting will make him the strongest breakfast talent in our marketplace. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
