Community station Zack FM hires graduate

Suffolk community radio station 105.3 Zack FM has appointed Matt Webb as Assistant Station Manager and daytime presenter.

It’s Matt’s first full time radio job after nine years working in the industry and is eager to start: “I’m really looking forward to this opportunity of working alongside a great team at 105.3 Zack FM. I’ve worked tirelessly in radio for nearly 9 years and to be rewarded with this senior position and a full-time paid job is a dream come true. I’m a firm believer in quality local radio and hope to continue building on the station’s success”.

Matt graduated from Cambridge Regional College with a National Diploma in Radio in 2005 and was lectured at the college by Trevor Dann. He’s worked voluntarily in radio since leaving Star Radio in Cambridge as a production assistant in 2005.

He previously assisted with the start up of Affinity DAB Radio in Cambridge as chief engineer and lunchtime presenter and since departing, has been involved in the management team and presented on Cambridge 105. Up until July 2012, Webb was one of the Drivetime Presenters on RWSfm 103.3 in Bury St Edmunds. He’s also been involved with other community radio projects over the years, including 209radio in Cambridge.

He will also be fronting the new daytime show on the station from 10am-3pm, weekdays.
