Mike Vitti goes from Jazz FM to Mi-Soul

Former Jazz FM Programme Controller Mike Vitti has joined internet-only station Mi-Soul to host a weekly Friday afternoon programme.

Mi-Soul was created by Kiss 100’s founder Gordon Mac, who has already recruited former 1Xtra DJ Ronnie Herel and promises more signings in the coming weeks. The station is launching on DAB in the New Year.

“Mike and I have known each other for some years, so when we heard he was leaving Jazz FM we decided straight away that we would really like him to join our family,” Gordon said.

“Mike’s enthusiasm and his highly successful, proven musical formula will be a great addition to our fantastic line-up on the station.”

Mike Vitti told RadioToday.co.uk: “‘It’s fantastic to be joining the inspirational team that brought the original Kiss 100 to airwaves and be part of a group of people dedicated to showcasing soul music of every kind and making radio history. So, when I spoke with Gordon, the answer was yes before any question was even asked.’ Vitti also pledged to ‘…bring that same Saturday night energy to Friday afternoon at four and start the weekend party early.”
