Isle of Wight Radio celebrated 23 year of broadcasting this week with a surprise on-air marriage proposal for breakfast co-host Emily Wells.
Emily, who presents the show with Paul Topping, was shocked to see her partner Rob turn up and even ask Paul permission to pop the question live on-air.
Luckily for everyone, the answer was ‘yes’.
Paul Topping, Isle of Wight Radio Programme Director and Breakfast show presenter said: “It was such a nice, and unexpected way to celebrate 23yrs on air. Our listeners responded to Emily and Rob’s news by inundating the station with phone calls and texts wishing the happy couple all the best.”
