Community station Hot Radio is still on-air this evening despite announcing its closure would happen at 6pm today.
A single tweet by the station today says “Hot Radio will continue broadcasting whilst we work to find a long term solution for the station. Thank you for your support.”
With no other news from the station, RadioToday can only presume the station has been given a lifeline and is considering options to continue broadcasting.
Last week the station said: “It is with regret that Hot Radio will cease broadcasting on Monday 6th January at 18:00. We would like to thank all our staff, listeners and advertisers for all their support over the last five years.”
Hot Radio was recently given a five year extension to its licence by Ofcom.
