Capital London Drivetime is being taken over by Global’s latest signing Will Manning.
Will will replace Greg Burns, who’s heading to Sydney for a mid-morning show on Nova after eight and a half years with Capital.
Former Kiss presenter and 30 under 30 winner Will is also lined up for a weekend show on the Capital network, both starting week commencing June 20th.
Ashley Tabor, Global’s Founder & Executive President and Capital’s Managing Editor, said: “As the new Capital schedule continues to evolve, we are making some big changes. Will has huge energy and musical knowledge as well as a ton of experience for someone his age, and he’s ideally placed to take up this major show. I know he’ll do a fantastic job entertaining London while he plays the biggest and freshest hits of the moment!”
Will Manning said “I’m delighted to be taking on a key daytime slot on London’s biggest music station, it’s my dream job. I can’t wait to get on!”
Tabor continued: “Greg has been on the Capital team for a long time and he’s a big part of the family – we wish him the very best for his future. Greg is an outstanding presenter and he’s welcome at Global towers any time he’s in town! I want to thank him for his dedication to Capital and Global over the years.”
Greg Burns said: “I’m so proud to have been part of an amazing era for Capital, to have seen the births of the Capital Jingle Bell Ball and Summertime Ball and to be leaving with Capital hitting a 12 year high and an unbelievably exciting new line up of presenters. I honestly can’t say enough to thank Ashley, Richard and everyone at Global and Capital for allowing me to live out my boyhood dream. I’m excited to be heading to Sydney and joining the fabulous team at Nova. I wish the whole team at Capital well and look forward to keeping close tabs on the team’s continuing success from afar.”
