Martin Collins returns to Smooth Radio

Presenter Martin Collins has left Magic and reappeared on Smooth Radio.

He was back on-air at the station over the weekend, heard hosting Smooth Love Songs on Saturday and Sunday night.

Martin was last at Smooth Radio in London when it was owned by GMG, hosting drive time from 2007 to 2008 before going freelance then moving to Magic where he hosted various shows including weekend breakfast and early weekday breakfast. His radio career also includes Capital, Chiltern, Virgin and Absolute Radio.

Sam Jackson, Managing Editor of Smooth, told RadioToday: “Martin Collins is a first-class presenter and the perfect choice to host Smooth Love Songs on Saturday and Sunday nights. I’m thrilled to welcome him to the UK’s third largest commercial radio brand, as he joins our weekend line-up alongside Myleene Klass, Andrew Castle and Tina Hobley.”

Global has taken a number of presenters from Magic over the last couple of years, including Danny Pietroni and Paul Phear.
