Manchester will celebrate digital radio at a special free Radio Academy event – Doing the DAB – in partnership with Radio Today, manufacturer VQ and Digital Radio UK.
The event is taking place at 6pm on Thursday 8 December at Texture Bar in central Manchester and features a host of leading Manchester radio figures from BBC Radio Manchester, commercial radio and community radio who will share their views on radio’s standing in Manchester as well as their vision of radio’s digital future.
The event will be hosted by Radio Academy Manchester and Gaydio Chairman, John Ryan, and speakers include BBC Radio Manchester Editor, Kate Squire, and presenter, Mike Shaft; Chris Country founder, Chris Stevens; Niocast Managing Director, David Duffy; Julian Guest of Unity Radio; and Digital Radio UK CEO, Ford Ennals.
Speakers will discuss the benefits and future of digital radio. What will happen in the next chapter in the digital radio story? How are audiences listening? What are broadcasters doing to get the most out of digital?
