The Local Radio Company have today announced their interim results for the six months ended 31st March 2005. Turnover is up at ?9.8m and national sales has increased by 32%.
Since taking over from Radio Investments Ltd almost a year ago, TLRC have bought four local radio stations – 2BR, Dune FM, KCR (now The Rocket) and Spirit FM – and won two; in Blackburn (as 32.5% shareholders in The Bee) and Durham.

‘Almost a year to the day since listing, The Local Radio Company is well on its way to becoming a major force in the UK’s local commercial radio market.
‘The Company is now profitable at the operating level and we have been able to grow our advertising sales in a difficult market, due to our mix of local and national business’
