Metro Radio have ended live commentary of local football with immediate effect.
Metro will no longer carry the same high level coverage of Sunderland and Newcastle that it has in the past, reporting that it is no longer financially viable.
It is also reported that Radio Aire have dropped full coverage of Leeds United games due to the price being too high.
