TLRC’s newest radio station has launched this morning (Monday) in Durham. 102.8 and 106.8 Durham FM won the licence after strong competition from two other applicants, CN Group and Laser Broadcasting.
The new sound can now be heard all over Durham after the launch at 6am. The first song played was The King of Rock n Roll by Prefab Sprout.
The new schedule includes Peter Grand and Vic Ribbands on the Big Fun Breakfast, along with Craig Andrews, Steve Philips and Chris Hakin making up rest of the weekday schedule.
Durham FM are not taking any weekday networking at the moment, but reserved the right to introduce this in the future when applying for the licence.
The station website has yet to appear at durhamfm.net but the schedule looks like this:
