River Media have bought Cookstown, Co Tyrone station Mid 106 FM for an undisclosed sum, it has been revealed.
River Media combine the investors Tim Collins and Padraig O’Dwyer with John Taylor?s Alpha Newspaper Group and the Irish News Group who already own Seven FM, the new station in Ballymena. The growing group have also applied for the new Newry licence as Five FM.
Mid FM broadcasts to 109,000 people aged over 15 covering Cookstown, Dungannon and Maherafelt and is currently branded the same as the rest of the CN Group stations. This will change over the next 12 months during a rebrand of the station by the new owners.
