
Macquarie’s Diamond FM format won’t work in Southend, according to a local competitor.
Gary Dingwall is Managing Director of Radio Futures, one of four groups budding for the new Southend-on-Sea licence, to be awarded next Thursday. Dingwall told Radiojam that Diamond FM – recently awarded the second FM licence for Plymouth – won’t work because the target demographic is “all wrong” and regardless, local people are “intrinsic” to a winning application.
