Lord Jimmy is back at Clyde

Lord Jimmy Gordon of Strathblane is heading back to the station he helped set-up all those years ago. He is re-joining Radio Clyde as Chairman, having formerly held the same position at Scottish Radio Holdings before Emap bought the company last year.

Dee Ford is the Managing Director of Emap and is happy about the new appointment: “We are all delighted to have Jimmy Gordon back as part of our team. Apart from his experience and track record in Scotland, his standing both politically and in the national media in London will be of great value to us at a time when all broadcasting organisations are facing very substantial issues.”

Gordon, as you’d expect is glad to be back: “I am grateful to Emap for this opportunity to maintain my association with Radio Clyde, with which I will always have a strong and almost parental link. I look forward to doing whatever I can to maintain the station’s close links with the community it has served so well over the past 33 years.”
