Passion Radio launch DAB service

Passion Radio, currently broadcasting as an RSL in Brighton and Hove, have just announced that the station is now available across Sussex on DAB.

The intention to launch a DAB service for the whole of Sussex has been known for some time now, but the Optimod-fuelled excitement has been slightly delayed by the wait for Ofcom to authorise the station’s digital radio launch. The station boasts ’40 minutes non-stop’ each hour, of the best classic dance and comtemporary dance tracks intermixed with ‘blueprint’ tracks from the 70s and 80s to add diversity to the station’s output.

The station currently has an 80kbps mono stream on NOW Sussex, with a view to increase the bandwidth as the station grows in popularity, as well as a 128kbps stereo internet stream.
