Airport Man Goes Back To Radio

John Cull, contributor to seventeen programmes in the BBC’s Airport series, has returned back to his radio roots this week. John, who has worked in radio in Australia and on BBC Radio London in the seventies, is to present the breakfast programme on the new Surrey RSL station Radio Wey 87.7FM.

The station, operating on a Restricted Services Licence, features a number of people who were involved with the set up of a the hospital radio service in the Weybridge area. Also appearing on the station is former BBC disc jockey Mike Read who started his career on Hospital Radio Wey in the seventies.

John Cull’s programme runs Monday to Friday from 07:30 until 10:00. Commenting on his new show, John said: “I’m a local lad, born in Woking, and it’s going to be great broadcasting to the area in which I grew up. I’m really looking forward to it.”
