New logo revealed for KISS

The new sound of KISS 100, KISS 101 and KISS 105-108 is just days away, and Emap have kindly sent us the new logo to accompany the newly expanded brand.

A bold K and the word Kiss in capital letters creates the base of the new look, which is set to replace the ‘lips’ which has been the brand logo for many years. Kiss 101 (the former Vibe 101 in Bristol) and Kiss 105-108 (formerly Vibe in East Anglia) will launch on Wednesday 6th September.

In addition, Andy Roberts in his new role as group programme director of the expanded Kiss network, has been working to refresh the sound of the station.

He said: ?It?s important that Kiss constantly evolves. It must never stand still either musically or editorially and it must not be afraid to take risks. More and more technology will play a huge role in how people consume us but at the core of this we must continue to create engaging programming that people can use and interact with. Since coming back to Kiss in May I?ve already refreshed the music policy providing a more optimistic and upbeat promise to the listener along with a new selection of presenters and specialist DJ?s to come. This is again a great time for a new Kiss and for new listeners to discover Kiss from our new Network of stations.?

Kurt Edwards, Kiss commercial director, said the Kiss sales team would now be looking for strategic partners with whom to build longterm relationships.

He said: ?The new Kiss Radio Network offers youth advertisers the chance to talk to 2.4 million young adults every week – and with over 6 million adults engaging with the Kiss brand every month through all its platforms, Kiss is a truly multi-platform youth offering, standing head and shoulders above the rest in a cluttered media market. With our market leading insight we will deliver bespoke solutions to talk to this audience in their language whenever, wherever and however they want.?
