The Local Radio Company report that it has increased its listeners to 879,000 listeners per week compared with 849,000 listeners in Q1 2006 with total listening hours of 7.2 million compared with 7.4 million in Q1 2006.
However, where some stations have increased, other established stations have suffered.
Commenting on the figures, Richard Wheatly, Chief Executive of TLRC, said: ?In this competitive media environment, it is great to see an increase in the total number of listeners as well as a like-for-like increase in listeners.?
