SIRIUS to start streaming

Subscribers to the satellite radio network SIRIUS can now listen online around the world to 75 channels, including Howard Stern.

New customers will still need to pay the same amount to listen online ($12.95), but won't have the expense of buying a satellite radio.

The online stream is only available to US residents, as the options on the sign-up page requires a billing and subscriber address in America.

Scott Greenstein, president of entertainment and sports for Sirius, said he expects the Internet service will lead to additional subscribers. “We can’t tell you how many but we think it’s become much more broadly accessible overnight,” he said.

SIRIUS are also giving a free Howard Stern weekend on 25th and 26th October, but again only in America.
