Five goes Live in Newry

The new local radio station for Newry has commenced full programmes at 10:05am, on 100.5FM. The station has spent one and a half million pounds during the set up of the studio and office complex, and they claim to have the best marketing campaign of any station in Northern Ireland.

Five FM is owned by River Media and won the licence just six months ago on June 8th 2006 against competition from Quay 100.

Programmes on the station includes Breakfast with Andrew Gold, Five Drive with Jimmy Leavy, and a nightly Hot 20 with Matthieu Casey, Paul McKenna and Helen Lavelle.
