New MD for Classic FM brand

National GCap Media station Classic FM has appointed a new managing director to oversee the station and all associated brands, included recently launched the Jazz. Darren Henley has been promoted from his position of station manager and will take up the new role with immediate effect.

GCap Chief Executive, Ralph Bernard said: "I am very pleased to confirm Darren’s appointment as Managing Director of Classic FM. Darren has played a pivotal role in establishing Classic as the UK’s leading commercial radio station and extending this strong, successful, brand into new commercially attractive areas such as concerts, books, magazines and TV.
