Sponsors and stations drop Imus

Following last weeks on-air comments by American talk-show host Dom Imus, his advertisers and sponsors including General Motors have now pulled their support. His show originates from New York radio station WFAN and is syndicated by CBS across the States.

The show was pulled last week after apparent racist remarks, where Imus caused an uproar with remarks referring to members of the mostly black Rutgers women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos." He was given two weeks un-paid suspension from his show, which starts on Monday.

Recordings of his random remark is spreading around the internet, including on [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF9BjB7Bzr0]YouTube[/link].

Today, MSNBC cable network also announced they were pulling re-broadcasting of the show until further notice.
