Listening to the radio on a range of different devices is the way forward for the "Digitally Enabled Universe", as more and more people tune in to their favourite stations on DAB radio sets, digital television, the internet and their mobile phones.
2.5 million people also regularly download podcasts from the internet, up from 2.1 million just three months ago.
More interesting figures to arrive from the RAJAR press conference this morning includes 41 per cent of adults listening to the radio on their telly, up from 18.6 per cent four years ago.
20 per cent of homes now have a DAB digital radio set and 24 per cent listen to the radio via the web. 25 per cent of 15-24 year olds with a mobile phone are listening to the radio via their handset.
