New marketing push for Galaxy

Global Radio is starting a new advertising campaign designed to push the station into the national spotlight. The six figure campaign, which will include press, online and viral marketing, launches today in titles such as The Daily Star and Reveal magazine.

Galaxy also plans to dominate the partner site to Company magazine Getlippy.com with a series of banner advertisements, features in newsletters and various competitions on the site offering Galaxy-branded prizes.

To compliment this activity, Galaxy have also developed “listen live” features on the Getlippy site, which has over 421,000 unique users per month. The “listen live” feature will allow Getlippy users to listen live to Galaxy’s shows while browsing the site.

The creative for the campaign, developed by The Farm London, will also include a viral element designed to enhance the print and online activity.

Commenting on the brand advertising strategy Paul Coleman said: “The Galaxy brand campaign highlights the fact that we play more music than our competitors and this together with our entertaining content is what the target 20 something audience are looking for.”
