The cost of Lunch with Wogan

There are some things money can't buy – but lunch with Terry Wogan isn't one of them. During the BBC Radio 2 Auction Of Things That Money Can't Buy for BBC Children in Need one listener bid £75,000 for a date with Sir Terry and Roger Moore.

The Radio 2 breakfast presenter described this as "the most amazing, the most wonderful day I've ever had on radio."

Last year's auction raised £512,450 for Children in Need but the cumulative total for 2007 is already at £649,000, and there are still five more items up for grabs including an exclusive Doctor Who experience and the opportunity to see Led Zeppelin perform at the O2 Arena in London on and watch them in rehearsal the day before.

This year's BBC Children in Need Appeal is on Friday 16 November.
