Fox criticises Capital

Magic 105.4 breakfast presenter Neil Fox has spoke out against Capital Radio’s current breakfast show. In an interview with today’s Independent, Fox also warns Capital breakfast presenter Johnny Vaughn against sounding “silly and small-time”.

“I don't think it's the right show for Capital,” said Fox, “it's a bit blokey for me and I think a station like that should be a little more female biased".

Fox also believes Capital’s presenter Johnny Vaughn was wrong to speak out against the latest audience figures, which put Magic’s breakfast show at number one in the London marketplace.

"There is a lesson for Mr Vaughan, when the Rajars come out, to not whinge about it, just accept it. It just makes you sound silly and small-time, which is certainly not what Capital should be. This time round we won and that's life."

On his move from Capital Radio to Magic 105.4, Fox says: "Part of my style was that I could talk for England. We have a more mature ABC1 audience and they don't want to hear me waffling on.”
