Two female listeners to Eagle Radio took advantage of an ancient tradition today by proposing to their partners – live on the radio.
Posh Al, who presents Eagle Radio’s Breakfast Show with Peter Gordon said "I can't believe how brave our listeners Mykela and Helen were to propose with tens of thousands of people listening. PG and I were incredibly nervous so I can't even imagine how they must have felt. I did get a little tear in my eye when their boyfriends said yes though. I love all that romantic stuff.
"I'm so pleased that PG and I were able to help them and who knows what we'll do in 4 years time but it certainly won't be me proposing to PG!"
