Time called on Slough station

Time 106.6 FM is to leave Slough, following approval from Ofcom for the station to co-locate with Sunrise Radio in nearby Southall, outside the station's TSA.
The regulators have approved the request, citing difficult market conditions for a small-scale ILR station with the London marketplace.

In its application to the regulators, Tristar Broadcasting Ltd argued that Time 106.6
operates in a "particularly difficult competitive situation; it is a small-scale station broadcasting to an area that is entirely within the London-wide TSA."
The recent changes in RAJAR methodology and increasing site costs are also cited as reasons for the request, though approval to increase programme sharing has not been sought.
Ofcom approved the co-location, citing exceptional circumstances and noting that "a number of cost-savings have been brought in over the past months… further cuts risk jeopardised
the high level of local output."
