Movie voice-over Don dies

Don LaFontaine, the man who voiced thousands of movie trails, and in turn worked with numourous radio producers to create genuine Hollywood sounding audio trails, has died at the age of 68.

He passed away on Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from complications in the treatment of an ongoing illness, said Vanessa Gilbert, his agent.
LaFontaine made more than 5,000 trailers in his 33-year career. Reports suggest he also voiced nearly 350,000 commercials for radio and television. He was well known for his signature phrase "In a world…" which has been used in movie trailers so frequently that it has become a cliché.
You may have heard him on movie trails for The Simpsons Movie, Independence Day, Terminator and much much more.
