More rule breaching at GCap

GCap Media station BRMB has been warned by regulator Ofcom for breaking two more licence rules during a recent breakfast show.
In the show, one of the regular presenters blind-tested products from the supermarket chain Aldi, comparing them against branded groceries and constantly plugging the store.

GCap insist the programme feature was not the subject of a commercial arrangement with Aldi, and pointed out that the Aldi products were given no more prominence than the branded products to which they were compared.
Not convinced, Ofcom didn't like the way the 'taste test' was conducted, and found the station in breach of Rules 10.3 (which prohibits the promotion of products or services in programmes) and 10.4 (which prohibits undue prominence being given to products and services in programmes).
