Gough quits 5 Live for talkSPORT

England and Yorkshire cricketer Darren Gough has quit BBC Radio 5Live to join talkSPORT as a presenter on the Bowtime drivetime show each Friday.

Gough is known to millions as the winner of the BBC television show Strictly Come Dancing, and is currently a team captain on the Hole in the Wall.
He will start his talkSPORT presenter duties immediately reporting live from Jamaica when the first Test between England and the West Indies gets underway on Wednesday.
Moz Dee, Programme Director of talkSPORT, said: “As well as being one of England’s greatest ever cricketers, Darren Gough has proved himself to be an immensely talented broadcaster. He is intelligent, opinionated, and funny and his knowledge of sport away from cricket will surprise a lot of people."
Gough said: “talkSPORT has a personality that no other broadcaster comes close to. I’ve been a listener of the station for years and to be part of its presenter team is an honour and a challenge I am relishing. I’m looking forward to educating Adrian about the finer points of swing bowling and if he asks nicely, I might show him a few dance steps.”
