Listening figures for UK radio stations will arrive four hours earlier from now on, as RAJAR is set to provide data to subscribers at 1:30pm on the day of release, rather than the previous time of 5:30pm.
The next date for listening figures to be released is Wednesday 28th January – when data from quarter 4 of 2008 will be sent to stations in the afternoon. Data will continue to be under strict embargo till 7am the next day, Thursday 29th January 2009.
RadioToday.co.uk understands the shift in release time reflects less stations and groups now being listed on the stock exchange. The previous reason of a 5:30pm release time coincided with the closing of trading for the day.
