Bauer to freeze radio staff pay

Bauer Media has become the latest group to officially announce a pay freeze for all staff, including those at London's number one commercial radio station, Magic 105.4.

The pay freeze spreads across all levels of the publishing and radio company, but will not affect bonuses and commission. Just last week, GMG Radio [link=https://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.4408.2]announced[/link] a similar deal to staff at Real, Rock, Century and Smooth Radio.
A spokesperson at Bauer said: "Bauer Media believes it should prioritise efforts and resources in our core product – on air, on the page and online. As such, it has prioritised this spending above that of recruitment and on increasing salaries."
Bauer owns numerous stations and brands including Magic, Kiss, Kerrang, Q, Heat and the Big City Network of stations.
