Leeds radio station 96.3 Radio Aire is to auction off a £12,000 on-air promotion on eBay. Local businesses can start bidding for the Live With Logie promotion from a reserve price of £1000.
The winning bid will own the campaign that runs across the station for the next six weeks. Station Director, Anthony Gay, said: "In the current climate businesses first reaction is often to slash advertising budgets but research shows that companies that advertise through a recession have a real opportunity to change their market position.”
He added: “We've put it on eBay so that any business – or individual – can have a chance of owning the campaign – and perhaps get a bit of a bargain in tough times for marketing budgets.”
