Heart 106.2’s Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott have celebrated their 1000th Heart Breakfast show on Monday this week, and gave away £1000 every hour.
The pair were joined by quiz-master William G Stewart to crown the ultimate Heart Breakfast superfan, then after the show, they tucked in to a 1000th Heart Breakfast cake made by Sainsbury’s.
Harriet Scott joined London’s Heart 106.2 in 2002 and teamed up with Jamie to present their first Heart Breakfast in 2005.
Jamie Theakston revealed how much their lives have changed since their first Heart Breakfast: “Since doing the show, Harriet and I have both got married – not to each other, obviously – and I’ve had children, so our audience has shared those landmark events with us.”
On reaching their 1000th Heart Breakfast, Harriet Scott said: “This is a real milestone. I'm so proud that we've made it to 1000 shows. I'm even more proud that we've still got some jokes left over that haven’t been recycled yet! It's been a wonderful 4 years with Jamie and the team. Everyone has worked very hard to make sure we have as much fun as possible. It's a great job!”
