Twenty-one local radio stations in the South East are to join forces to cover Guilfest next month. They’ll be joined by national digital station Planet Rock at the event.
96.4 Eagle will act as the anchor at the festival and share output with the other stations. All stations, including national DAB station Planet Rock will be broadcasting artist interviews and sessions from the festival.
Guilfest takes place at Stoke Park, Guildford over the weekend of the 10th, 11th and 12th July. Motorhead, Brian Wilson and The Happy Mondays will headline the main stage.
Lucy Forster, station liaison manager at RadioCentre, said: “Guilfest has built itself a great reputation over the years and we’re delighted that Commercial Radio is once again involved.”
Tony Scott, founder and director of Guilfest, added: “We’re now in our 18th year and the festival just goes from strength to strength. It’s fantastic that local commercial stations and Planet Rock will be broadcasting from the event.”
