Rozina Breen has been appointed as Editor at BBC Radio Leeds in West Yorkshire, replacing Mike Bettison.
Rozina was previously a senior broadcast journalist for BBC Current Affairs Radio, producing both pre-recorded and live output for Radio 4.
She said she was greatly looking forward to a new challenge: "I'm thrilled to be coming back to the BBC at a time that is both exciting and challenging. She began her BBC career as a radio production assistant at Radio Leeds but, after a year, moved to BBC News and Current Affairs Radio where she worked as a researcher on a range of BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live output.
She also spent a year with BBC factual in Manchester and spent time as an Assistant Producer on BBC One and BBC Two documentaries, as well researching for BBC One's Watchdog Healthcheck programme.
