Martin Ball, Managing Director of Wave 105 is preparing to lead a team of listeners to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
The team departs on Saturday August 29th and is raising funds for Wave 105’s charity Cash for Kids, specifically for the Jenna’s Dream Campaign.
Martin Ball said: “As a parent I cannot begin to imagine what an ordeal the children and their families face in these circumstances. I hope I can make a real different as a result of climbing this big hill in Africa, and I desperately want to make use of the relationships we have at Wave 105 with our listeners, advertisers and local businesses from across the south – with all their support we will hopefully make a real difference.”
Connie Carroll, Wave 105 Cash for Kids Charity Manager, said: “This trip is a great way to raise funds for the very worthy Jenna’s Dream campaign. It will also provide income for the country and work for locals as guides and Sherpas. Martin and the other climbers are in very safe hands as Wave 105 Cash for Kids patron, Rhys Jones, the youngest person to have climbed the highest summits on each of the world’s continents, is leading the trip.”
