The newly formed radio holding company, Your Media Communications Group has purchased the business and assets of 3TR, Bath FM, Brunel FM and Quaywest FM.
The group is chaired by Stephen Dexter, a former partner at Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants; fellow board members include broadcast veteran Roger Day and Nigel Reeve.
Dexter said: “We have a twin strategy based on bringing stability to these stations after what has been a turbulent eighteen months, while at the same time producing local radio stations that are at the heart of their community.
“We want the listeners and advertisers in each broadcast area to feel it is their local station.”
YMCG also plan to launch four music based internet radio stations. The company is also planning a PLUS market flotation.
