Despite a £24m divorce settlement, Heather Mills still calls up to win Whitney tickets on Heart.
Paul Hayes was on-air giving away tickets for the gig at London’s O2 Arena, when Heather from Hove was randomly selected to identify a missing word from a Whitney song.
After getting it right, Mills celebrated winning the £110 tickets by saying: “That’s wonderful. Thank you so much. I can take my girlfriend. I’m really excited!”
Hayes didn’t realise he was speaking to Heather until after the competition round: “It suddenly clicked – the Geordie accent, the address she gave me and, of course, the name. It just goes to show, you never know who is out there listening.”
